LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the teaching unit, students will be able to:
- State the current and future applications of H2,
- Report the upcoming shifts and transformations for the automotive, transport and industry sector,
- Understand the significance of hydrogen as a sustainable fuel for the maritime industry, for railway and aviation,
- Describe a fuel cell system, battery technology used in electric / hybrid vehicles,
- Examine the limitations and evolution of battery performance,
- Argue the advantages and disadvantages of hydrogen combustion,
- Analyze the competitiveness of hydrogen solution compared to other energy sources,
- Describe the main usages of H2 in industry as feedstock for petrochemicals, iron & steel and fertilizers industries,
- Write an offer describing the technical and financial relevance of hydrogen for a given application (can be in the energy sector, in the mobility sector or more general in the industry) and justify your choice.
