LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the teaching unit, students will be able to:
- Deal with legal issues related to the energy sector,
- Describe the regulatory framework of hydrogen, as well as for markets as for production constraints,
- Describe the hazards of hydrogen and the ATEX requirements,
- Apply safety rules in hydrogen environment and consider the preventive and protective equipment (gas detectors, explosimeter),
- Take part in the safety reviews done during a project or plant modification to improve process safety practices and reinforce the integration of the human factor from the design stage,
- Analyze the relative efficiency of the different emissions reduction tools: standards, carbon tax, CO2 markets,
- Effectively manage the CO2 emission allowances within a given company / country,
- Apply the LCA
