LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of the teaching unit, students will be able to: 

  • Describe global energy demand and supply, 
  • Report the increasing role of hydrogen within the energy transition and the relation with electrical renewable energies, 
  • Explain the link between Hydrogen and electricity market,
  • Compare the countries in terms of maturity to implement hydrogen, 
  • Explore and analyze main geopolitical issues of the energy demand and supply in different areas of the world: EU / Asia / Middle East and US and describe the strategies, 
  • Analyze the advantages and challenges of hydrogen as an energy vector in these countries compared to electrification.
