The main objective of this unit is to impart a view of the automotive business and market. At the end of the unit, students should:
- be aware of their own cultural backgrounds and habits as well as those of other nationalities in order to communicate and work more effectively in multicultural teams;
- understand the impact of local and global forces on the automotive and powertrain market,
- understand the development stages of an automotive technology, delivery on time at targeted quality and cost and the functioning of the supply chain including the OEM-supplier relationship,
- broaden their knowledge and analytical skills thus allowing them to develop intercultural management approaches as a central theme of international business and project development.
