Learning Objectives
  • Explain the concepts of capillary pressure, its link to water saturation; explain the concept of permeability and relative permeability.
  • Understand the measurement processes in the laboratory of these parameters and their limitations. Is aware of the importance of laboratory petrophysical data to constrain the interpretation of logs. Carry out a rapid interpretation of a set of well-log profiles ("Quick Look"),
  • Determine the parameters of a quantitative log interpretation, and give a critical analysis of the results obtained,
  • Use the main results obtained from borehole imaging tools, advanced logging tools and from Production Logging tools to improve the petrophysical evaluation of a formation
  • Run in autonomy an electrofacies determination at a specific well
  • Explain the principles of classification approaches
  • Interpret the standard criteria for the quality control of a classification result Build a robust regression model
