LEARNING OBJECTIVES
This teaching unit covers the Natural Gas courses and the final year project. At the end of the course, students will be able to :
  • have an overview of the gas chain, both from an economic and technical point of view
  • understand the stakes of natural gas, its end uses and its role in the energy transition
In the project, students put all their knowledge into practice by working in groups on a preliminary field development project. They will be able to :
  • select a development scenario integrating
    • the evolution of reservoir, drilling, well and surface constraints (flow assurance, processes, structures) during the life of the field
    • safety and environmental protection constraints,
    • economic data,
    • market constraints,
  • present a written and oral summary of their results to a jury of professionals.
