LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, students will be able to design the architecture of a well, to specify the equipment necessary for its construction in maximum safety conditions and to dimension it and in particular :

analyze the lithological section of a well, to choose the depth of the shoes, to dimension the casings,
critique a mud program and develop a cementing program for each drilling phase,
determine the profile of the well, to follow, control and modify a trajectory,
to compose the drill string and specify the bottom equipment (turbines, engines, ...)
