LEARNING OBJECTIVES

This teaching unit includes an introduction to geosciences, in particular through a geological field course, and the fundamentals of reservoir engineering: characterization of rocks and fluids, fluid flow in porous media.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

understand the elements of a geological description of a deposit,
characterize a reservoir (rocks and fluids) and extract useful data from measurement reports,
initiate the implementation of data acquisition and to participate in the processing and interpretation of all data contributing to the reservoir characterization.
